Consumers looking to avoid airport congestion will be skipping their way to two of England's regional airports, as full service airline bmi regional, recently awarded the accolade of the UK's most punctual airline for the eighth consecutive year, launches a flurry of new routes from Birmingham Airport and Bristol Airport.

Operating an all jet fleet of 49-seat Embraer aircraft, bmi regional will fly direct flights to Gothenburg, Toulouse and Lyon from Birmingham from today. From 3 June, the airline will also serve Billund in Denmark direct from Birmingham. Daily services from Bristol to Hannover, Munich and Milan also took off today, while frequency on the recently established Bristol to Hamburg route increased to double daily.
