"I have just returned back to Les Houches (my base for the winter season) from Tignes, which held the final French Cup of the season and French Championships. I had a good day of racing on Saturday in the Dual Sprint event, I took 1st Junior and 2nd Overall in both the qualification run and the final result - I can't declare that I'm French Champion as I'm not French! First I raced my good friend Madi McKinstry from the US National Telemark Ski Team, then moved forward to the final where I raced the French Junior Champion- to-be, Kaline Osaki. Before winning my final run, I some how managed to do the slowest front flip in history. I false started and caught my ski tips under the drop panel start-gate, launched myself forward and then went head first into the slushy snow. Very embarrassing! I hiked back up to a laughing crowd whilst trying to reserve me energy. We set out of the start and she was ahead, then me, then her - we hit the jump and I over took, out of the loom and into the cross country and I'm still in the lead but skating as if my life depended on it! Crossing the line felt amazing.
The second day was the very last French Cup which meant that the league points were added up from all the races from the season. I knew that my performance from the day before put me far enough ahead of everyone else that all I really had to do was finish. I did in fact finish, so I'm now French Cup League Champion - which I'm really pleased to have won. Condition's were tricky and  mainly because of the heat! It was so hot, everyone was feeling it and especially the snow - we had some rather big ruts to deal with. There was also a very good turn out of from us British! We had many news boys racing who show a lot of promise and my mate-mate Anna Morrisey also got two 3rd places in her age group. All in all, a very good weekend for GB Telemark! It's been a good but tough season and it's lovely to have ended the way it has. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped me along the way."
