The London to Sochi 1928 mile ski run, is a unique fundraising event, supporting British Alpine Skiers, Charlotte Evans and Kelly Gallagher who aim to compete at the Sochi Winter Paralympics in 2014.  ... As a team Kelly and Charlotte represent Britain at the highest level of competition in all five alpine events.
The challenge will start at 'The Snow Centre', Hemel Hempstead, and is open to skiers or boarders who want to take part in this epic event.
CHALLENGE : LONDON TO SOCHI - 1928 MILE SKI RUN
DATEÂ : SATURDAY 7THÂ DECEMBER 2013
Aim : To ride a total of 1928 miles (the distance of London to Sochi)  which equates to 19,393 runs.
How this is achieved : With skiers and boarders who want to take on the challenge ride as many runs as possible over a period of 6 hours. As many runs as possible to be completed at 'The Snow Centre' Hemel Hempstead, with any remaining distance to be skied in a period up to 31st January 2014. We would ask race-club members to ski remaining distance, but all participants would be welcome to join us.
Charlotte and Kelly will be joining us on the day, and participants will have the opportunity to meet and ski with the girls. Â Â Professional coaches will also be on the slope that day and will offer assistance, tips and advice.
What we require from you : To join us on our epic challenge and for all participants to  raise as much sponsorship money as possible from family, friends and work colleagues. Sponsorship money to be collected through our ' Virgin Money Giving' donation pages. Further details will be supplied upon registration.
Cost for use of slope :   Participants will be required to pay £20 on the day for use of slope / lift pass / equipment hire.
