Another operation for Susanne Riesch

Susanne Riesch was injured after a fall while training slalom in Levi, Finland on her left knee and will now be out for about three weeks. On Monday, the 25 -year-old was successfully operated on at the Orthopedic Surgery Munich (OCM ).

DSV team physician Dr. Ernst -Otto Münch diagnosed ossification ... in the lateral meniscus of the left knee and led by the half-hour arthroscopic surgery. A part of the lateral meniscus was removed .

" The operation went well and was absolutely necessary , due to the constant pain under stress ," said Dr. Ernst -Otto Münch after the procedure. " Assuming a favorable course of healing, training on snow in about three weeks is possible again . "

After surgery , Susanne Riesch was her accustomed combative : " The OP was important to be able to last but not least go to make sure I can put  full and pain-free knee again. My goal is race in Courchevel. "
