A Sheffield-based start-up business is taking a high octane leap into the world of winter sports by launching a range of British designed snowboards onto the consumer market.
At present, Rekless Snowsports is the only UK producer of snowboards and is riding the wave of patriotism engendered by this summer's Jubilee and Olympic Games.
Rekless' introductory collection comprises six styles for the 2012-13 season, headlined by the Rocker Heritage series. These boards literally fly the flag for the firm, carrying striking Union Jack and Scottish Saltire graphics and catering for all abilities. A further four cutting edge designs are available covering all rider requirements, from a youth board to the top end Summit high performance, all mountain board.
All six styles of board, along with a complementary range of t-shirts, are available on Rekless' website - www.rekless-snowsports.com - or through South Yorkshire ski and snowboard retailers, Big Dick's Board Store and Bennett's Winter Sports.
Julian Potts, Rekless co-founder, said: “Our team has worked tirelessly to launch a new brand of snowboards that is unashamedly British and reflects the passion and vision we have for winter sports. Our inaugural range combines modern English elegance with a raw adrenaline fix and has been met with an overwhelmingly positive response from the global snowboarding community.
Rekless will be launching its 2013-14 range in March and showcasing its boards at The Snowboard Test held in Austria in May. For further information about its current lines, email jules@rekless-snowsports.com, visit www.rekless-snowsports.com or follow the firm on Twitter @ReklessUK.
