The Swiss-Ski Night by Sunrise took place for the fourth time on Tuesday evening. The snow sports gala, themed "Glow for Snow," focused on the most successful athletes of the past season, as well as the unsung heroes who worked behind the scenes to make the stars shine.
Around 1,000 guests attended the event in Hall 622 in Zurich Oerlikon to review the 2025/26 season. The highlight of the evening was the awards ceremony, where eight trophies were presented in five different categories. The winners are:
Female Athlete of the Year: Mathilde Gremaud, Freeski
Male Athlete of the Year: Franjo von Allmen, Alpine Skiing
Alpine Rookie of the Year: Dania Allenbach, Alpine Skiing
Nordic Rookie of the Year: Roman Alder, Cross-Country Skiing
Freestyle Rookie of the Year: Noémie Wiedmer, Snowboard Cross
Hidden Hero Award: Franz Heinzer, Group Coach, Elite EC Speed Men
Social Media Award: Nicolas Huber, Snowboarding
Outstanding Achievement Award: Karl Frehsner
