Sitting in the Eurosport Commentary box alongside the regular Ski Cross commentator was Switzerland's Ryan Regez. Regez won the Olympic Ski Cross Gold in Beijing but in December 2022 tore his ACL in a World Cup race in Arosa, Switzerland, cancelling his season.
It is always a great pull to the viewers when you have someone alongside the commentator who can call the inside story and knows the athletes personally and can tell what to look for. Regez is one of those people that can bring the inside story to the viewer and make them feel at home.
The racing was dramatic in places, read the FIS report
What were Regis's initial thoughts of the World Championship Finals? "It was a great race from beginning to end. There were only a few crashes and this resulted in very fair racing. It was difficult with the wind but this affected everyone the same," Regez pointed out.
"There was a lot of passing and clean skiing and was generally a really good race," he continued.

Many racers commented that the course was really flat and slow and Regez agreed that it was the case "however the racers did not make the most of it," he felt. "The run times were about one twenty which is about the longest we have ever had. Racers legs would have been burning in the finish, and their lungs also. Everyone did really well. Where they built the course they did really well and I am glad that they could test it two years ago with the test event.
"It was a great race so well done!" Regez ends with.
