Sunrise UPC will join the Swiss snow sports family as the new Swiss-Ski Main Partner from the 2022/23 season, replacing Swisscom as a long-standing, previous Main Partner. The long-term partnership with Sunrise UPC is designed for at least ten years.
The cooperation with Sunrise UPC from the next Olympic cycle marks another milestone in the history of Swiss-Ski. The new Main Partner offers the umbrella organisation of Swiss snow sports a very broad overall package and – due to its very long-term commitment – just as much planning security.
"As an association, we have the overriding strategic task of constantly developing Swiss snow sports and securing it in a broadly supported and long-term manner. With Sunrise UPC as our new Main Partner, we can offer our athletes, our employees as well as all our partners and other stakeholders great economic and financial security for the coming years," says Urs Lehmann, President of Swiss-Ski. "The fact that we have succeeded in entering into this partnership, which is extremely profitable for both sides, illustrates the high priority of snow sports in Switzerland. Sunrise UPC will give us new impulses in various areas. We are looking forward to these new opportunities."
André Krause, CEO of Sunrise UPC, adds: "This partnership enables us to further expand our success. Snow sports are part of the Swiss tradition, the combination with world-class competitive sports fits perfectly with our positioning. Thanks to the partnership with Swiss-Ski, we are even closer to our customers with even more emotions. Sport is ideal for us because it is precisely in sport that our values of 'passionate, bold and one' are shown. We can make this even clearer by supplementing our partnership with Roger Federer with our commitment to Swiss snow sports."
The snow sports commitment of the new main partner Sunrise UPC is very broad, which for Swiss-Ski is a central prerequisite for the partnership that will begin in a year's time. Sunrise UPC's sponsoring activities will also relate to Swiss World Cup events, junior and grassroots sports in the regions as well as to athletes from Swiss-Ski.
