The smile returns as Major wins the Downhill

Billy Major was not the happiest after the Super G yet after pipping Iain Innes to the win by a mere six hundredths of a second, Major was walking around the finish area after the race with a big smile on his face. Major and Innes finished 23rd and joint 24th overall with Zak Vinter stepping up to the mark and taking third amongst the British racers in 28th place overall. Nils Allegre made it two wins in two days as he won the race overall ahead of two of France’s World Cup racers, Blaise Giezendanner (who could have raced for Britain due to his mother) and Johan Clarey. Thomas Mermillod Blondin was fourth with Federico Paini and Ken Caillot sharing fifth.
