It was a brutal day with fog and rain attacking the racers but in the end, the race will be remembered for the fact that Marcel Hirscher won the race and secured his sixth Overall World Cup as well as his fourth Giant Slalom Globe. Leif Kristian Haugan took second with Matts Olsson enhancing his growing reputation with third.
