The ski racing world has been hit by yet more top line racers being injured just prior to the 2017-2018 Olympic season starting. With no Marcel Hirscher for the start of the season, Austria will also be missing Philippe Schörghofer and in the days leading up to Soelden, first Ilka Stuhec was injured and now Carlo Janka, a past podium place winner in Soelden (2009) has injured his right knee, a cruciate ligament injury.
