If the racing in the main races was fast and frantic, the next generation of racers, the Under 10 and Under 12 age groups, gave just as good an account as the older racers in Norwich. With the added incentive of places on the Ambition race camps through the summer for both age groups from each race, the pocket rockets gave their all.
The racers attacked both runs with the best time to count was the format over both days.
Charlotte Holmes took the first race with a first run that no one could better. Jolie Hoffman Little and Emilia Orzel both improved on their first run times but it was not enough to stop Holmes from taking the win. Amber Fennel took the win in the younger age group.
Ryan Bunton, Travis Parker and Jake Dade all improved on their first run times to push Leo Sydenham from first to fourth after the second run. Lewis Parton took the win in the Under 10 age group.
Sunday saw Charlotte Holmes take the win ahead again of Jolie Hoffman-Little and Emilia Orzel with Amber Fennel taking fourth place and the best time in the Under 10 age group.
In the boys race Ryan Bunton overtook the time Travis Parker set on the first run to grab the win with Oscar Louth putting the disappointment of crashing on the first run out of his mind to grab third place a mere four hundredths ahead of local racer Jake Dade. Lewis Parton took the win in the younger age group.
