Mini races get off to an awesome start in Les Houches

The start of the BSA Artemis / Anglo-Scottish races may have been hit by the long awaited snowfall but this did not stop the enthusiasm or dedication of the young racers that will be dominating the headlines over the next few years. Soft conditions and a mix of snow, rain and some cloud gave the racers plenty to think about as they tackled the course. Three runs with the best two times to count to decide who was the top racers on the day was the format for the race and after the boys had raced in the morning Markus Kadrnka from the Sandown Park Club took top honours in the Under 12 boys and Jack Weeks edging out Markus's younger brother Toby for the Under 10 age group. Erin Ward put in the three fastest girls time (to match the pace set by Markus as he won all three boys runs) to take the Under 12 girls with Molly Butler winning the Under 10 race.
