Team Snowtrax in Dorset has achieved the ‘Snowmark’ accreditation – a national award from Snowsport England awarded to high quality sport and community clubs who offer a safe, rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages. ...
Team Snowtrax, a family friendly snowsports club for all levels who are looking to improve their skiing and snowboarding, has a thriving junior club development programme which has gone from strength to strength in recent years.
The achievement of gaining the Snowmark award is testament to the hard work of both the committee and coaches to provide a range of different snowsports for all abilities. They have also worked towards having a club which is open to all with a fun and welcoming environment and clear communication with members and parents.
John Kovacs, Chairman of Team Snowtrax said: “Team Snowtrax have been working tirelessly on enhancing and increasing our junior development program over the past two years and we continue to do so. It really has been a team effort to gain the Snowmark award and we hope this showcases the commitment the club has made to provide a safe, effective and fun environment for our members to learn, enjoy and compete in an array of different snowsports at all levels of competition.”
Treasurer of Team Snowtrax, Nigel Vincent said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the club and represents the culmination of a number of years worth of work. It demonstrates what a positive environment we have at the club. Snowmark has made the committee think about all of the important things that can often be overlooked but we now have good communications with our members, positive support from the parents, a quality coaching and development plan, improved participation levels and has helped Team Snowtrax evolve into a club that has direction and purpose. Snowmark has helped us to mature the club by helping us to provide an enjoyable environment that encourages our athletes to develop their talent.”
Tim Fawke, Chief Executive of Snowsport England said, "Club development is integral to the success of snowsport at all levels and I believe that initiatives that encourage clubs to develop skiers, snowboarders, coaches, volunteers and facilities can only be good for the long term prospects of snowsports in this country. We congratulate Team Snowtrax for securing the Snowmark accreditation and continuing to run their club at a high standard for members.”
