Change of programme as weather turns in Tignes

With the weather not looking so great for Wednesday, the organisers of the Delancey British Alpine Championships, have decided that instead of trying to run both races on Wednesday, they will hold a training run on Tuesday morning and then the Delancey National Downhill Championship race straight afterwards. The National Junior Downhill race will take place on Wednesday, hopefully before the weather comes in. ...

With Chemmy Alcott and Dougie Crawford as well as Jack Gower, TJ Baldwin all missing for one reason or another, this will be the chance for the likes of Cara Brown, Darcie Mead and some of the rising stars for the future to make a name for themselves. With the course not having been used for the British Championships in recent memory, experience on the course will have been limited to FIS races for the majority of the field. Max Baggio, winner of the Super G, will be looking to further enhance his reputation and the support of Dougie Crawford with a strong showing but the likes of Nick Moynihan, taking part in his first Downhill in three years, will be looking to post a good time. Moynihan starts last of the seeded racers and will have nothing to lose.

With some of the top French racers also taking part in the men's race, this gives the younger racers a great insight into what to expect and try to achieve.

It is all to play for!
