British Bobsleigh reaches new heights

British Bobsleigh enters the Christmas break in good health after some great results in North America. Gary Anderson, Performance Director for British Bobsleigh comments: "We had targeted the World Cup race in Calgary as a trajectory marker, we utilised Bruce Tasker and Ben Simons, who are both now piloting, to try and get GBR up with the fastest starting crews in the world and it paid off. Lamin had his best career result to-date and it shows the strength of our programme. The crew of Lamin, Bruce, Ben and Andy Matthews showed that they can challenge for the podium at the World Championships. As i has always stated our strategy is to build a long term sustainable programme that can compete for medals at all levels. The results in Lillehammer also show we are doing that from the youth level, we had great success on the Americas Cup and we are close to doing so on the World Cup. ...
