The last weekend of November produced some more exciting results from British Ski and Snowboard athletes to kick start the 2014/15 winter season ...Â
Cross Country skier Andrew Musgrave finished an impressive 33rd in the 15km Classic race at the World Cup in Ruka, Finland. This was Muzzy's first World Cup of the season and he is looking in great form ahead of the rest of the winter.
In Alpine Skiing, Delancey Team skier Alex Tilley competed in her first World Cup of the 2014/15 season in Aspen at the weekend. After skiing out in Saturday's GS race, Tilley went on to showcase her fantastic form at the moment finishing 0.3 seconds off qualifying for the second run in yesterday's Slalom. After the race she said “It's going to happen one day soon. I think I know where I can make up four tenths too.”
British Telemark skier Jasmin Taylor had a good return to racing after injury, finishing 4th on Friday and 7th on Saturday in the Sprint races at the Telemark World Cup in Hintertux. Over in the men's competition, Jasmin's team mate Louis Hatchwell started his World Cup campaign with a 35th and 31st on Friday and Saturday respectively. Following the races, Jasmin said: “It feels like a solid start to the season and it's really motivating to have a clear set of results to work from. I'm looking forward to everything that is to come!”

In the Salla FIS races in Finland, Delancey British Alpine Ski Team athlete Max Baggio scored an impressive 35-point result in Slalom, finishing in 6th, and just missing out on the podium.
For the Snowboard Cross Junior athletes, there were good results from Max Thidling in the Junior FIS race in Pitztal, finishing 9th on Sunday. This was following a 17th place on Saturday.
Mogul skier Ellie Koyander is also now in Ruka getting prepared for her first World Cup of the winter in mid-December.
The GB Park and Pipe Team have headed off to Breckenridge, Colorado, their training base for the next couple of months, with lots of exciting competitions to come.
Kicking things off for Park and Pipe is the first Halfpipe World Cup of the 14/15 season in Copper Mountain, USA. The Freestyle competition runs from 3rd-5th December with James Machon representing Great Britain, and the Snowboarders step up 4th-6th December with Ben Kilner and Lewis Courtier-Jones.
Billy Morgan heads to China this week for the Beijing Air + Style Contest as an invited athlete, which sees the world's best snowboarders compete. Qualifications are on the 5th, with the main contest on the 6th.
The British Cross Country Elite Squad will be in action in the Lillehammer World Cup, in Norway. Posy Musgrave, Andrew Young and Andrew Musgrave will all be competing in the event running from 5th-7th December.
Great Britain Snowboard Cross athletes will also be competing in Pitztal, Austria, with the National Championship race on 3rd December and the Europa Cup on 4th December.
And over in the States the North American Cup Alpine circuit gets underway in Copper Mountain and Aspen, with Great Britain's Alpine athletes competing in both events, running from 1st-4th December.
