First World Cup title for Lindsey Vonn.

Lindsey Vonn was assured since last month to become the second American woman to clinch the downhill World Cup title yet the skier from Minnesota was looking forward with great impatience to hold the coveted Crystal globe in her hands at Bormio.

A few minutes after the unfortunate cancellation of the last downhill of the season, Vonn was on stage in the finish area where she could show it to dozens of photographers and cameramen as well as a nice crowd present at the arrival.
