Jens Byggmark: Back in the second run!
It has been a year exactly since the Swedish sensation, Jens Byggmark, has been challenging on the second run again. After winning two Kitzbuehel Hahnenkamm Slaloms and having the pressure of coming from the land of the great Ingemar Stenmark, Byggmark has big things expected of him.
Things started going wrong for the Swede last year and after much thought he felt he needed to change something and when it came down to sorting the problems out, Byggmark decided the best and safest feeling would be to swap skis. It takes a brave man to swap voluntarily from the might of Atomic, but this is what he did, moving on to Volkl. “I feel much safer on the Volkl’s,” explained Byggmark after placing 19th on the first run from a start of 56! “I was in a mental breakdown before I swapped skis so this has been a great decision for me,” finished the Swede before rushing off to prepare for the second run!
