MANFRED MOELGG (ITA), WORLD N°1 IN SLALOM, CHOOSES ROSSIGNOL AND LANGE!

The Rossignol Group have announced that Italian skier Manfred Moelgg has signed a two-year sponsorship agreement to use Rossignol skis and bindings and Lange boots.

After an exceptional season during which it achieved the greatest number of victories in the alpine World Cup, the Rossignol brand is reinforcing its technical team by including the winner of the 2008 Slalom World Cup.

This signing illustrates the brand's unfailing commitment to competition and the optimum performance of its products. The arrival of Manfred Moelgg in the Rossignol team, already including France's Jean-Baptiste Grange and America's Ted Ligety, consolidates the commitment of the Group to accompanying a young, dynamic and charismatic team and to uniting today's three best technical skiers within the same team. Manfred will also be joining his sister Manuela, ranked 3rd in the GS World Cup this season with Rossignol and Lange.

Michel Vion, Marketing and Racing General Manager for the Rossignol Group, commented: "The Rossignol Group is very proud to welcome the world's best slalom skier to its team. Manfred Moelgg has a strong mind and very aggressive ski technique, qualities perfectly in line with our brand's spirit and the values of our team in competition. Manfred's arrival also reinforces visibility of the Lange brand, whose boots remain a reference in the ski world."

Manfred Moelgg added: "I was very impressed by the quality of the equipment and Rossignol's determination to achieve major goals. The feelings I had when I tested the Rossignol equipment convinced me to change. The performance levels of the products I have tested over the past few weeks confirm that I was right. I am totally confident and this will be a great asset for the big events to come, such as the 2009 Worlds in Val d'Isère and the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver."
