23-year-old German signs two-year contract
Following the signing of Swiss racer Marc Gini,
Kathrin Hölzl has also decided in favour of the Fischer Racing Team. The
23-year-old German has signed a two-year contract and is aiming to make
it back to the podium with the full package of skis, boots and bindings
from Fischer. "I want to be a force to be reckoned with again next
season," says Hölzl. "I was very fast with the new equipment in the
tests. Karbon and Gius showed how fast they are with the package last
season. That certainly made my decision easier and I don't think I can
go wrong with this choice."
Voglreiter: "Has the potential to win
discipline globe in Giant Slalom"
Kathrin Hölzl's best World Cup result so far was
a second place in Giant Slalom. In the upcoming season she is intending
to compete in the Giant Slalom, Slalom and possibly also in the Super-G.
"Kathrin Hölzl is already one of the best Giant Slalom racers in the
world. In my opinion she has the potential to win the discipline globe
in Giant Slalom and also a medal at the World Championships," says
Fischer Racing Director Siegi Voglreiter, convinced that the new signing
has a bright future.
