Marc Gini changes to Fischer

  23-year-old Swiss signs two-year contract

Marc Gini will be strengthening the Fischer Racing Team over the next two seasons. The Swiss has signed a two-year contract for the complete Fischer package: skis, Soma-Tec ski boots and bindings. "During tests I skied well with the equipment right from the start. Last season I noticed that Fischer is strong in all snow conditions. And the development of the hole ski shows that Fischer keeps developing new technologies and is extremely innovative", the 23-year-old explains as his reasons for moving to the strongest Men's team in the 2007/08 season.

Voglreiter: "Gini is one of those skiers who holds the future"

"It was one of our key objectives to get a strong skier from Switzerland into our team. Marc Gini proved with his first World Cup victory last season that he is one of those skiers who holds the future. He has a great deal of potential in him. I'm convinced that we will often see him on the podium during the next couple of seasons. He is also an extremely likeable athlete", says the delighted Fischer Racing Director, Siegi Voglreiter, on working together with the Swiss.

Gini: "I would like to be in the Top 7 in Slalom next season"

Marc Gini wants to achieve the decisive step to the top with Fischer. "Next season my aim is ski to more victories in the Slalom and reach the Top 7. In the World Championships my aim has got to be winning a medal. In Giant Slalom I want to be in the Top 30. And I would like to put up a serious challenge in one or two Super Combinations", says Gini looking forward confidently to next season.
