Racer Ready is a subscription based magazine, below are a number of FAQ's to help you find out more about the magazine:
Q: How can I get hold of the magazine?
A: Racer Ready is a subscription only magazine and you can subscribe
either by contacting the magazine directly and asking for a
SUBSCRIPTION FORM (click for link) or you can do it online

Q: What do you get for your
subscription?
A: As the magazine is a subscription based magazine, the magazine is
posted to you directly when it comes out quarterly. As well as
the magazine, subscribers also receive the e-newsletter after each
of the World Cup and Olympic races. These are exclusive to the
subscribers and content will not be seen elsewhere.
Q: What types of article appear in the
magazine?
A: The magazine features articles that do not go on the website:
From exclusive interviews with racers, movers and shakers in the ski
racing world and other luminaries, the magazine also has a number of
popular regular sections:
- Wax Room Chat ... topics of interest that are not quite big enough to make an article in their own right.
- Editors Rant ... What is really grating the Editor at the time of each issue
- Industry snippets ... An area that the industry can use to promote their goods and services! (Click here to send in information).
- Clubs corner - If you are a club and would like to promote what you are getting up to then contact the magazine directly and we will add your news into the next issue of the magazine (Click here to send in news)
- The Big Man at the back ... What is out roving reporter thinking at the moment?

Q: How can I get mentioned in the
magazine?
A: Ski well and fast!
Q: How can I raise my profile to help
secure sponsors to fund my competitive winter sports activity?
A: If you are really happy with a result then be proactive.
Send out a press release along with a picture to your local papers
and Racer Ready. The editor may just say thanks but no thanks but
then again they may publish this and this may lead to
someone being interested in your endeavours!
Q: What else does Racer Ready cover
apart from skiing?
A: The magazine covers competitive winter sports; including:
- Alpine ski racing,
- Skier X
- Boardercross
- Telemark racing
- Skibike racing
Q: What levels of the racing do you
cover?
A: Everything from the Olympics and World Cup down to the grass
roots regional racing in the summer.
Q: How can we get our event covered on
the web or in the magazine?
A: If the race organisers send in a report on the race there is a
greater chance of the race being covered on the web at least.
If a report is sent in more people will hear about your event and
thus the popularity of the event will grow plus this will make the
race more attractive to potential sponsors of the event (and thus
more racers!). If you have run a race and would like it covered by

you the thumbnails that we have!
