In Cortina, Michaela Dorfmeister stopped the Renate Goetschl bandwagon from taking an unprecedented clean sweep of the races in the second of the two downhill's.  Goetschl was not too disappointed to have finished second as the 380 points she won this week lifted her ahead of Janica Kostelic in the race for the overall.  Kostelic finished third in the race behind the two Austrians.

Chemmy did not race due to the bunions on her feet becoming worse than previously thought.
