The first Club National of the Dry Season took place at Chatham. Scheduled for Bromley, the opening Club National was won by Natalia Harte in the girls and Marc Telling in the men's race. The girls race was dominated by Children as Natalia Harte (Sandown Park) beat Alessia Thomas Jackson (Wycombe) and Charlotte Evans (Chatham), all Children, to the overall podium places. Rowan Vernon (Gloucester) and Lauren Cadman (Stoke) took the top Junior places with fourth and fifth overall in winning the Junior 2 and Junior 1 categories respectively. The Men's races was easily won by Marc Telling (Wycombe) despite crashing out on the first of the three runs. Joel Wyatt (Stoke) and Dan Wyatt (Pendle) took second and third overall. All three failed to register a time on the first run, Adam Lambert (Hemel) set the pace on the first run ahead of Ben Clark (Bromley) and Luke McCarthy (Hemel). Peter 'The Hobbit' Thelwell (Arrows) struck back on runs two and three to take fifth ahead of Clark yet behind Lambert. Dan Curtis took (Brentwood Park) ninth overall in winning Children 2 and James Askew (John Nike) won Children 1, 22nd overall. The Seniors races were won by Marc Telling with the Masters won by Paul Bunton (Chatham). No Senior or older Ladies started. The Girls minis was won by Giulia Harte (Sandown Park) from Amy Young (Surbiton) and Ellie Steward (Bromley). The boys minis was won by Max Moss (Chatham) from James Gibb (Chatham) and Max Baggio (Hemel). |
