Ryding makes leaps up the Europa Cup points table

After the impressive results in the Europa Cup races just before New Year, Dave Ryding took advantage of the absence of some of the top slalom racers in the world to post some great results in Meribel (France) and Lenzerheide (Switzerland). Ryding is working hard to work his way up the world rankings and the 14th in Meribel followed by the 18th in Lenzerheide now means that Ryding is ranked 27th in the Europa Cup series.

This means that he will now start in the top thirty in the Europa Cup series and this should allow him to get better courses from which to attack and match his excellent result in Madonna di Campiglio that saw him score a 10 point result for the first time in his career.

Posting on Facebook, Ryding admitted his “skiing was not great but can’t complain. A very tricky and long piste, ran out of juice at the end so a little annoyed with that.”
