Team Harte take on the French...

Promising sisters Natalia and Giulia Harte look back on their first races of the season. For Giulia these were her fiorst races in the FIS age group races. These are their thoughts and reactions:

First races of the season last week, ended up being in Tignes glacier as the races in Val Thorens ended up being rescheduled to Tignes, like the rest of Europe it had no snow. Conditions were difficult with a thin layer of good snow on top of glacial ice. The track quickly became a mix of soft snow and glacial ice making it very tricky. With the field including quite a few members of the French Team the races were definitely a good opportunity to gauge the success of the summer training program! Giulia has just moved up into FIS so this was the first races to really see how this goes and get experience. She was so excited for the races but unfortunately failed to finish both as it was 2 tough races with many of the top girls failing to finish also. Racing up against the French team showed how successful the summer technical training has been but highlighted the areas we still need to improve. Giulia and Natalia are both looking forward to a good season racing under the banner of Team Harte especially as they will both be completing their first first full season on snow.
