TV Coverage of the Games

 

LIVE 2010 Winter Olympics from Vancouver on British Eurosport and Eurosport HD

British Eurosport brings 24/7 coverage of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games from Vancouver. It will be the 11th consecutive winter games on the channel and the first to be broadcast in stunning high definition on Eurosport HD. The LIVE coverage will start each day following the Olympic Countdown programme which will broadcast every day at 1730 giving fans a taste of the day’s action to come. From there on British Eurosport sees LIVE overnight action with coverage from 15 Olympic sports.

 

Other programming includes Olympic Breakfast, which will be a series of five-minute bulletins giving viewers the latest news from the night’s events. Olympic Finish Line will be broadcast at various points in the day and will feature all the best moments from the day’s action, with various interviews, reports and results. Throughout the day there will also be chances to catch up on any action missed through highlights programmes.

BBC Coverage

The Winter Olympics, 12-28 February

There will be continuous live/as live coverage of the Games on BBC Red Button, BBC Sport Online and BBC iPlayer, 24-hours a day.

1.30-3.30pm, BBC Two and BBC HD (start times vary) – Hazel Irvine and Sue Barker present highlights of the best of the overnight action.

7.00-9.00pm, BBC Two and BBC HD – Clare Balding brings live coverage from the slopes as we look at the best of the action from the alpine skiing and snowboarding. This will incorporate national and regional news and weather.

11.20pm-5.00am, BBC Two and BBC HD (start times vary) – Hazel Irvine presents live coverage of the best of the day's events.
